Seeing an error: Some fields need more examples? Follow the steps below to Troubleshoot this and start training your model.
Why are you seeing this error?
Nanonets AI needs to understand and learn from your files before it can start automated processing. For this, you need to manually mark examples of the fields you want it to learn. When you draw a box around some text on your file and select the correct label for it, that counts as an example. (Minimum 10 examples required)
Troubleshoot "Fields need more examples"
- On the troubleshoot popup, you will see names fields which need more examples marked.
- On the right-hand side you can see how many more examples are needed to reach the minimum requirement.
- Draw a box around the field's text on the image > select the field name from the dropdown. This counts as 1 example of that field.
- Continue doing this on more images to reach the minimum requirement.
- The indicator on the top of the screen will show you when you have completed the minimum requirement. You can then click on Train model.
Troubleshoot "Table headers need more examples"
How to mark examples of Table headers
If a table has already been detected by the AI (if you see blue grid lines and boxes around the table when the image loads) you only need to assign column headers. Follow the steps below:
- Click on the header dropdown on the right-hand-side panel.
- From the dropdown > select the appropriate header for that column of data. This counts as an example marked.
- Continue doing this on more images to reach the minimum requirement.
- The indicator on the top of the screen will show you when you have completed the minimum requirement. You can then click on Train model.
Please note: You don't need to mark ALL columns on all the images (we know line items are not the same on all files). For example: You have Quantity marked on Images 1 - 8 but not present on Images 9 - 10. Simply upload 2 more images that have a Quantity column that you can mark instead. This way you will have a total of 10 examples of a Quantity column.
Table not auto-detected?
If a no table was found, you will need to manually draw the table and then label the headers as shown above. To draw a table manually, follow the steps here.
Tip: How to find files to mark more examples on
- Go to the All files view
- Click on Filter by on the top right of the list of files
- Click on Add Custom filters
- In the parameter input field > select the field that has not reached the minimum examples requirement
- In the condition input field > select Doesn't exist
- You can add more fields as required
- Click on Apply filters
You will then see only the files that don't have markings of these examples. This will make it easier for you to add missing examples as listed on the error dialogue.
