This document lists the annotation practices that you should follow while labelling your documents.
How do I label a field on a document?
Draw a bounding box around the field and enter the name of the field, and click save.
Note - Only annotate the text you want to capture. The model will learn to look for surrounding text in order to learn this. See image below - If you want to capture Invoice Number, just label the text 01816850
How do I label tables on a document?
Step 1 - Draw a bounding box covering the area of interest on the table and the header information.
Step 2 - Switch from the list annotation to the table annotation as shown in the image below, and select the no of rows and columns.
Note - No of rows = No of Line Items + 1 (Header Row)
In the below example we have 3 line items, so we select 4 rows for the table -
1 row is for the headers
3 rows are for the line items
Step 3 - Adjust the rows and columns of the table to align with the rows and columns of the table. Once you do this, click "Save Table"
Step 4 - On the labels section add the labels for your header. You should see the label names changing from "col 3" to "description" on the image.
