Export to Google Docs

Step 1: Connect your Google Docs account

• • Click on Connect Google account. This will be the account where your documents will be created and stored.

Step 2: Select type of action

Decide what content you want in your Google Doc. You have three options:

• 1. Replicate original document: Choose this option if you want to create a .docx that maintains the original input's text, layout, and formatting.
  2. Create new document from Template: Select this if you have a predefined template and want to create a new document with variables like {{customer name}} replaced with actual data.
  3. Create new document: Use this option if you want to create a new document with extracted raw text, without any formatting.

Step 3: Select the Folder/File path

• Select the folder where the document should be created by clicking on the 'Select folder' input box. You can create a new folder if the path does not already exist.
• Provide a file name for the new document in the 'File Name' field. You can use the outputs from the model to construct the file name dynamically.

Step 4: Set up triggers for the export

Choose the condition that should trigger the export to Google Docs. This could be one of the following options:

1. 1. On inference - Google Doc is created as soon as the file is processed
   2. On all validations passing - Google Doc is created when all the approval/validation stages are passed
   3. On Approval - Google Doc is created only if the file is manually Approved
   4. On Assignment - Google Doc is created only if the file is assigned/un-assigned

Step 5: Test and Save

• Before finalizing the integration, use the 'Test this Action' feature to ensure that the documents are created correctly in your Google Docs account.
• Click on 'Add integration' to complete setup.
• Upload a new file in Extract data section to start automating!

Frequently asked questions:

Q. I have multiple instances of the same field, how do I export only one instance per field?

A: Under Data actions > add a 'Keep only one' block > select the field returning multiple results > Save. Then, under Export to Doc mapping > select the output from the 'Keep only one' block to be mapped for export. This will only Export the instance with highest confidence score.

Q: How do I Export Table data to a Google Doc?

A: We currently do not support export of Table data to Google Docs.

Q: Can I create a Google Doc per page in my multi-page document?

A: We currently do not support per page Export to Google Docs.
